I love Crete and every time we visit, I love taking new photos. Sometimes of the same places. We have been maybe four, or even five times and I still find myself remembering the smell of the sea breeze, the warmth of the sun on my skin and the crunch of the rock roads beneath my feet.
Rethymno boasts the Fortezza Castle, which in the afternoon sun is amazing to photograph. In October time, we were able to capture some warm and rich backlit photos with the entire area practically to ourselves being that it is the end of the tourist season.
I'm a fan of self-portrait photography and love to challenge myself but luckily, I can have portraits taken by Mr Polley who is on hand to capture them. We love driving across the island on different roads finding new places to stop for locations.
